Cellars of DW ("I", "me") is a wine cellar management and sommelier service based in Nashville, Tennessee. This policy explains what information cellarsofdw.com handles, why, and the choices you have.
What I receive
- Consultation requests. The consultation form prepares an email in your own mail app addressed to me. Nothing you type is sent to or stored on this website's server. When you send that email, I receive what it contains: your name, email address, approximate collection size, location, a preferred time to talk, the service you are interested in, and any message you write. The draft is kept in your browser's session storage only so it can be shown to you again on the confirmation page, and it is cleared when you close the tab.
- Visitor statistics. Only if you click "Allow" on the cookie notice, Google Analytics records anonymized page views and clicks (for example, how many visitors open the consultation form). IP addresses are truncated. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
- Server logs. Cloudflare, which hosts this site, keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, requested page) to keep the site secure and available.
How I use it
- To reply to your request and, if you become a client, to provide the services you ask for.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful so I can improve it.
- I do not sell or rent your information, and I do not use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Cloudflare hosts the site.
- Google Analytics processes visitor statistics, only with your consent.
- Your own email provider delivers your consultation request, under its own terms.
How long I keep it
Consultation emails stay in my inbox for as long as we are in conversation or working together, and are deleted when they are no longer needed. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies until you make a choice on the cookie notice. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage so you are not asked again. You can change it by clearing site data in your browser.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me at any time to see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email [email protected] and I will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site and my services are intended for adults of legal drinking age. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Meaningful changes will be noted on this page.
